Greenwood Groove Academy’s 2nd Graduation – 29th June 2019
Greenwood Groove Academy held its 2nd graduation on the 29th of June 2019 at the school’s grounds. A total of 68 students graduated on the day, from the kindergarten section, junior and senior school. The school ground was filed with neatly pitched tents and amazing décor that complemented the backdrops, banners and teardrops that blew the school’s logo high for all to see.
The graduation was graced by Dr William K. Kingi – Deputy Governor of Mombasa county as its Chief Guest and Abdulswamad Shariff Nasir- Member of Parliament for Mvita Constituency. To kick off the event, a word of prayer was said and thereafter wisdom from different speakers shared. The principal urged the graduands to be bold, creative, ingenious and devoted in all they do even as they move forward to their next stage in life.
Mr Nzioki, chairman of the board of Governors at Greenwood Groove Academy, made all aware that the school has grown into a fully-fledged institution that looks forward to not only becoming the best in the region but also seeks to embrace a more digital form of teaching come the September 2019 intake.
Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, Mp Mvita couldn’t help but congratulate the school for its diversity. He further urged the graduands to hold on to the knowledge that they had received from Greenwood Groove Academy.
The chief guest motivated the students to uphold dedication, devotion and discipline stating that these are key components to success. “Education is like a master key that can help you open many doors to opportunities” he remarks as an encouragement to the students. He incited the parents to create a conducive environment for their children to enable them to study efficiently.
The day couldn’t be summed any better than from a highlight of the valedictorian speech urging her fellow students to write the most daring stories they could by trying out new things and going after their goals.
